The old patterns, back in print.

Windsor Press restores needlework and millinery manuals from 1912 to the 1960s — plates rescanned, instructions kept as written, printed at a size you can actually work from.

About Windsor Press

Working manuals, not coffee-table books.

These books were written for people who made things. A 1915 Royal Society lesson book or a Priscilla Irish crochet guide assumed you had thread in your hand and wanted to finish a collar by Sunday. They were cheap, they were used hard, and most of them fell apart.

We find the surviving copies, clean up the plates and diagrams, and put them back into print through Amazon — in paperback, Kindle, and occasionally hardcover. The instructions stay as the original authors wrote them, spelling and all. What changes is the legibility: sharp illustrations, generous margins, and type large enough to follow while you work.

The catalog runs to eight titles so far, weighted toward Irish crochet and lace, with a pair of millinery manuals for anyone who wants to build a hat from the buckram up.
